Soul eater

Soul eater is the best anime I've ever seen, it's also a manga
About half the cast can turn into weapons, and the rest are miesters, Kishin and witches. The plot revolves around the DWMA, defensive weapons and miesters academy or something like that. The headmaster/ruler of the DWMA is Lord death(or shinigami) he is a wacky grim reaper who can perform the "reaper chop" where he dents your skull with a gigantic glove
the main characters are Maka and her weapon, Soul who can turn into a battle scythe,
Death the kid, the awesome symmetry-obsessed son of Shinigami, with Liz and Patty, twin pistols,

Blackstar, the "ninja assassin who will transcend god" and Tsubaki, the easy-going enchanted sword of Blackstar
as well as a whole bunch of bad guys! you have to watch it to appreciate it. (but beware of "legend of the holy sword" it gets obnoxious)

Blackstar: can we still be friends?
(pause)
Soul: Of course! we'll always be friends!
Blackstar: Oh, Soul!
Soul: Blackstar!
Blackstar: oh soul!
Soul: Blackstar!
(this repeats a few more times)
Maka: they need professional help
BOOM!!!!!
(kid has basically exploded them)
Kid: oops, I'm sorry. My finger slipped

evanescence

Apart from the proper dictionary definition, Evanescence is a rock band with great lyrics. You don't have to be a depressed or be into rock to appreciate their music. Even if you're a content and happy person, you can to some extent relate to their songs. If they weren't any good, they wouldn't have so much publicity, think about it, how many other bands in the same genre have succeeded like them.

An intoxicatingly beautiful, charasmatic, charming woman who puts a spell on you. Her beauty, wit, and charm make you fall hopelesly in love with her. You would do anything for her. As much as you love her, she doesn't give a shit about you. Though she pretends to feel the same way for you, she see's other men behind your back. When she leaves you, you feel devistated. You're life is forever in shambles leaving you wishing "you never met her at all."

cake-eater

Supposedly dubbed by Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution. When citizens complained to her that the peasants were starving and that she should give them bread, she replied, "Let them eat cake!"

It is now used as a nickname for all people who live in Edina, MN. Although meant to be an insult (for the dominantely white, rich, and stuck-up high school), many students from Edina now take pride in it. Example: An Edina sports shirt that read, "Cake: Breakfast of Champions"

This term is most well known by its reference to Edina native Adam Banks in "The Mighty Ducks."
