OY is a gang in NYC Sugarhill Harlem. OY or OYG stands for Original Youungings or Oringinal Young Gangsta, They are famous for their Drill music, As far as i know they were paired with the OGZ and DOA(sevside), But that later broke down Becouse of a missunderstanding between Edot Babyy(OY/Grapestreet Crip) and Kay Flock (DOA), later in 2023 OYOGZ broke and they all got a beef with eachother, OY beefs with: Doa, ogz, ygz, 41 and many other gangs. Their most famous Rappers are: Sugarhillkeem, Edot Babyy, DD Osama, SugarhillDdot, Oy Quan, Dudeylo, Roscoe G, Deeplay4keeps, bloodiefrmdao, Notti Osama and many others.

OY (Original Youngins)

OY is a gang in Sugar Hill, Harlem particularly known for their drill music. A lot of OY members are grapes. They are known for drill rappers SugarHill Keem, Edot Baby, Dudeylo, Bloodie, Notti Osama, DD Osama, SugarHill Ddot, OY Quan, DeePlays4Keeps, Roscoe G, and Jaystar. Rundown killed Woo Lotti (YGz) and the YGz wanted their get back and they killed Ty Benji. 2 years later Notti Osama a young drill rapper with a ton of potential chased a 9raq member with a broom then got stabbed later pronounced dead in the hospital. 3 months later one of the biggest drill rappers Edot Baby passed away, the reason is unknown but many believed he killed himself. They broke up with the OGz mainly due to Edot Babys death and are independent now. Due to Notti's death some opps from 41 made a song and dance Notti Bop. A lot of people have gotten stabbed for doing the Notti Bop.

OY/OG

The OY/OGz are a gang from the Bronx, with popular rappers like Edot Baby, Sha Ek and B Lovee (B Lovee sides with Kay Flock and Dougie who are in DOA since they grew up togetther, and he grew up in Courtlandt). You can see that B Lovee is in music vids with Sha and Kay, and he's apparently WooK, even though Kay Flock and Dougie's song T Cardi has Woo members in it. The OGz and YGz used be the same gang, but a split in 2010 caused them to seperate. They now beef.

Like most Yiddish expressions, this is Mediaeval Low German. In Modern German it would be spelled "Ach! Gewalt!" Gewalt is a word that means strength or force, But in this context means "violence".

I see others referring to the Yiddish expression "oy vay zmir". Again, in Modern German, "Ach! Weh ist mir!", literally, "oh, woe is unto me!" In all 3 cases, the pronoun is in the Dative case, which usage has long since vanished in English, except in antique sayings such as this.
