Internet Restraining Order. a formal warning to cease and desist bad online behavior, sometimes accompanied with a short term involuntary vacation from posting or other limits to use of the online service. Usually indicating that further bad behavior will result in a longer vacation or being permanently banned.

I went off on some dippy vegan for being uniformed and I guess I was too nasty so I got a 5 day vacation and and IRO to go with it.

Alex Jones from INFOWARS wasn't satisfied with Twitter handing him an IRO and a two week vacation, he had to go the full monty and earn a permanent vacation.

Horribly known because of the many bots there are. Although if they are not bots they are actually very nice.

I rather stay in a private server than in iRO... But of course... I got friends in iRO...
