Hemingway

The act of writing, particularly a lengthy blog, article or essay, while consuming moderate to large quantities of alcohol during the process. Can be done to help stimulate creativity but most of the time the person is just a borderline alchoholic.
Term can also be interchanged with other popular writers with an affinity for booze. i.e.; to "Capote", to "Faulkner", to "Kerouack", to "Fitzgerald"

Student A: "Don't you still have to finish that paper for class tomorrow?"
Student B: "Yeah, dude. But I got a six-pack of beer and I'm going to Hemingway that shit later tonight."

Pull a Hemingway

To become intoxicated before writing a paper in order to make the process more palatable.

Can also be used as a verb, i.e. "to hemingway a paper"

College student #1: "Bro, I'm so not looking forward to writing that paper for my politics class"

College student #2: "I most definitely agree. I would advise you to pull a Hemingway on this one."

Hemingway Method

A method of doing school work based on the quote by Ernest Hemingway, "Write drunk; edit sober." This can use any method of inebriation be it drugs or alcohol, you just can't be sober. This tends to work best when you have time to sober up and edit the essay.

I really couldn't get any inspiration for my Sociology mid-term, so I resorted to the Hemingway Method. Surprisingly enough drunk me is filled with ideas, I got an A, mind you my friend you must have time to sober up before you turn in the essay.
