It basically means goodbye forever. If you say this to another individual, you are telling them, from now on, from this moment on, you couldn't care less what happens to them, as long as you never see, or hear from them again. You are banishing them from your circle of loved ones and friends, from your life. It is almost always justified/warranted.

A phrase made popular by Kanye West when he was standing on a table at a meeting defending Elon Musk where West was quoted saying “If Elon has a bad week, we have a bad life”. This phrase is used to show the importance of how if we knock down one person who is taking care of other people it can sometimes affect the people that person takes care of in very harmful ways, and that maybe we should consider leaving certain people alone in certain situations for the sake of the the greater good or for the sake of who that person takes care of.
Kids: Mom & Dad look worn out and stressed this week. If they have a bad week, we have a bad life. So we need to give Mom & Dad a break this week.
