usually at a late night Curry House, you order a portion of curry and being undecided whether you want it served with rice or chips (french fries) you ask for ".......curry half and half."very popular with students after a big night out.

He asked the waiter " Chicken curry, half and half". i.e. a portion of chicken curry served with half a portion of chips and half a portion of rice.
