When rich people try to win attention or discussion points by appealing to lower-paid people under the guise of being a common working man. An attempt to curry favor by misrepresenting one's finances to show fake equality.

When my manager told me I wasn't getting a raise, he was babybluecollaring by noting that he worked harder than me when he comes in twice a week.
