What one sees as valuable, another would view as garbage or junk. Reversed form of "One man's trash is another man's treasure".

Peter: OMG, you have the Johnny Seven OMA Gun! That was the coolest toy ever as a kid.

John: Throw it out man. That thing is worthless, I kept losing all the ammo.

You might not see a nut as an appetizing meal but another person who is really hungry can see that nut as a full course meal and make use of it.
It means that you should appreciate every nut that hits your stomach.

Person 1: Look at this sandwich... gross! Would you eat it if i gave it to you?
Person 2: Well, I am really hungry.
Person 1: I can't believe it! I guess one man's nut is another man's meal.

It means that 6 of something is exactly the same as half a dozen of another. An analogy used to say what your doing isn't different then something else. Also used for objects or many other things that are similar or the same.

Sally: Its half past two.
Joe: Don't you mean 2:30
