A phrase that Indonesians are very proud of. This is how they distract themselves from their recent political&racial issues. Om means "sir" or "uncle" in Indonesia and Telolet resembles the sound of bus horns. Indonesians are overly proud of how viral it went despite the fact that a phrase will never make Indonesia a better country. Commenters on "what is om telolet om?" videos in YouTube are mostly Indonesians, although it is meant for those who don't understand the phrase.
Jack: countless Indonesians are commenting "Om Telolet Om" everywhere, why?
Jill: I guess they are very proud of that phrase, where is Indonesia anyway? never heard of it.

But when we fail to see the forest for the trees we succumb to social media for the evils it inspires. In extreme cases, the suggestive power of said media has been found to disrupt lives, polarize the peaceful, and silence individual voices in an altogether spiral down the spin zone. Untamed, the suggestive power of social media can all but take over one’s life... or at least kill their free time. Not to mention its birth of the toxic phenomenon we have come to know as “over-sharing.” That said, it is crucial to utilize technology in this day and age for its efficiencies, and its efficiencies alone. Some may call it “better living through science,” others may just recognize it as necessity in its purest form... Be that as it may, it is somewhere in the realm of disconnection that you yourself may break free from the establishment of social media to essentially restore a life of fulfillment. One so not inspired by digital hermitization meets glorified virtual insanity. Life is worth living! Go outside. Plant some trees. Get on your knees. Open your mind. Be not blind. Then you’ll truly be free. This is what it means to be Techlectic. After all, not everything in our future can possibly be PC.

When you simultaneously utilize the efficiencies of technology to make your life better whilst understanding your obligation to your own reinvestment in reality, you’re truly being Techlectic.
