Wears Thrasher, the 2 XL shirts and a hoodie for weeks on end without changing. Stands there with his board looking extra Radical for scene points but doesn't even try skate when he knows how to do nothing.

puts his face book status as "skating all day" I love skating" "gotta skate more" - but the only time they skate is just down the smooth road to the shop.

Also says people who walk holding their trucks on theirs kateboards are posers and 'truck touchers' ahaha

Skater Poser

Note: A Skater Poser is NOT someone who sucks at skateboarding and/or is just beginning.

A Skater Poser is someone who claims they skate, but doesn't really. Reasons for someone being a Skater Poser include popularity and getting girls. They are usually seen carrying their boards around (some don't even own a skateboard), saying they can do tricks, and sitting around at the local park, insulting actual skaters.

*Real Skater falls doing a kickflip to nosegrind*

Skater Poser: Dude, you suck! I did that first try yesterday!

Real Skater: Let's see it, then.

Skater Poser: A cop took my board away.

Real Skater: Here, use mine.

Skater Poser: Uh, I have to, uh, check my, uh, house. I think, uh, I left my, uh, front door open.

a poser skater is someone who pretands to be a skater. they are usually people that go to skateparks all the time but just sit on the benches with their board trying to look cool. they usually dress and act like the stereotype but when it comes to actually getting on the board they have no clue what they are doing. you can usually tell if someones a poser skater if they say they can do a boardslide and they bottom of their deck isnt even scratched. it actually doesnt matter if you suck or if you just started but when you say you can do things that you have never tried before because they look "easy" then your a poser. it also doesnt really matter if you wear skate brand tees if you actually like the style just dont wear them if you think it makes you look cool.

skater: dude, you are such a f*cken poser skater

(poser goes over to a legde, but since they dont know how to even do an ollie, they jump of the board onto the legde and since they are too "Kewl" to use a helmet, they bash their head into the cement and get knocked unconcious)

According to many people, someone who skates just to be cool, or someone who says he can skate, but he really can't. These people are heavily bashed by the "real skaters" (their opposites). Quite frankly, as a skater, I just enjoy the sport for what it is. I don't see how a piece of wood with wheels underneath can destroy or boost someone's reputation; it's just an object! I think everyone has the right to skate (even those that some call posers) because we should all just have fun. I'm not supporting "fake skaters" or their motives, but I'm just defending the rule that we should just do it for fun and forget the other stuff. Hell, this "poser" subject has such a big impact in the skater community in general, some skaters just try too hard to be original. once again, we should all just enjoy it.

Hardcore skater dude: look at that dude. he just skates around to look cool! what a faggot!
Me: Alright, man. We're not in control of him. Let him do what makes him happy.

Poser Skater

A person who thinks they can skateboard.
Usually has a penny board because that's Mainstream and Hipster right now.
Usually see them just carrying their board around.
They also have no Scratches on their board because they cant do shit and just show off their £150 army print 'New' Board... from www.pennyskateboardsonline.com.

Usually wear Beanies in the summer and Tie dyed tank tops with 'Hype' on them, or the really mainstream Thrasher T-Shirts in white with black writing.
Some of them also have Facebook profile pictures of them doing an Ollie off a curb, but you can only see the skateboard and their feet so you dont know who the fuck has done it.

Friend - "look at him, another skater"
Me - "Hipster Poser Skater..."
Friend - "How d'you know? He could be really good"
Me - "He is wearing a trasher hoodie, Janoski's and a Hype beanie in the summer "
Friend - "Faggot"
