(noun): When a woman intentionally leaves a sexy/provocative photo as the last snap in her story, knowing full well it'll be visible from the main feed. This then encourages males to want to see said photo, however, the female has cleverly placed it after some absurd number of non-revealing and, honestly, quit boring photos. The woman is then easily able to see which males put in the work to get to said photo and thereby allowing her to calculate which males fancy her. SnapTrapping usually has the effect of feeding a woman's ego.

guy1: Bro, did you see Ashley's snap last night? Them titties was poppin!
guy2: Na bro, I ain't about to get suckered into that snaptrap by tig ol' bitty Ashley!

When you seem to hit it off with a girl then kinda lose each other once you add her on snap. This can also be when you give a girl your snap instead of your real number because you're uncertain and it's way easier to ghost her there.

"I heard you were talking to Ashley!?"

"Not really, we fell victim to the snaptrap."
