Run the lights

A stand-up comedy term meaning to practice or perform a comedy set while following the lighting cues and timing used during the actual show. It helps a comedian get used to the stage setup and know when their time is almost over.

Lila saw the comedians run the lights so they were prepared and knew when their set was ending for the actual show.
