Text lane

The right or "slow" lane of a road having two or more lanes of travel in the same direction. Drivers who retreat to the text lane to send and receive texts and email can often be seen hugging the solid white line, drifting into the adjacent lane or onto the shoulder then swerving back into the text lane and traveling much slower than the rest of traffic.

First guy: "Dude. What took you guys so long to get here?"

Second guy: "Jeff was having a text fight with Trudy about what she did on her girls' night out so he was driving the whole way over in the text lane."

Left Lane Cock

an asshole driver who forces you to brake or switch lanes by staying in the far left lane (the one designated for faster traffic) and going slower than the appropriate speed for that lane; a real asshole.

Jane Lane

A character on Daria known for her artistic abilities and quick wit which gets her friendly with Daria. In the first episode "The Esteemers" Daria meets Jane in a self esteem class. Daria encourages Jane to take the final to get out of the class with her, and they both succeed. Ever since, they have been best friends. When Jane got her first boyfriend in "Janes Addiction" Daria was mad at Jane for spending so much time with him, she also seemed a little jealous. Later on in the season on the episode "Dye! Dye! Dye! My Darling" Tom gets bored with Jane and attracted to Daria. Daria steps into his car towards the end of the episode and they wind up kissing. Daria tells Jane eventually, and Jane feels like she cant forgive Daria. They talk about it later on and resolve their problems. Daria winds up getting bored of Tom as well and dumps him. Daria and Jane still remain best friends despite their ups and downs.

Jane Lane: Hey wanna get some pizza?
Daria Morgendorffer: Sure

The majority of their lives is spent at the pizza parlour.

When two or more traffic lanes are occupied by cars traveling next to each other at the same speed, preventing any possibility of passing.

Guy 1: "Bro, I got lane locked on the way to work and missed half the morning meeting! They just wouldn't move!"
