For instance, they will dance, joke and display a big smile while never being serious about serious issues.
An agent is a representative of someone else, with the agent in the visible or public role with their names and faces put in public to represent the ideas, aims and goals of their employer. The employer is almost never seen, or is rarely seen or heard from, leaving the agent to handle all of the bad things.
