beastie boys

Real cats from NY who put Def Jam on the map and paved the way for numerous rappers from Nas to Eminem.

Man, the Beastie Boys have been repping QB before Nas and were the first respected white rappers.

Beastie Boys

Sexy Jewish boys I want to have babies with. I love their music. Who else can pull off... "See I walk, a like Jabba da hut, wit style so new y'all be like what?!" They're ultra cool because they can be funny, have good beats, good rhymes, and have a good cause at that same time.

Me: Oh my lord, the beastie boys are HAWT.
Someone stupid: Ewwww. 50 cent is all the rage these days. DAMN! I'd break off a piece of dat!
Me: *Shoots them in the face*
Me: Now you living like 50 cent, BITCH!

Beastie Boys

Three white guys from New York, Adam Yauch, Adam Horovitz, and Michael Diamond, who started of as a punk rock band then went into hip hop after Ad Rock (Horovitz) decided to buy a TR-808 instead of a guitar for the band. In their early Licenced to Ill/Paul's Boutique days their lyrics were very controversial, but after their third album, Check Your Head, they ditched their tough, frat boy attitudes and didn't rap about stealing and taking drugs. They have inspired many rappers including Nas and Eminem. Unfortunately, on June 4, 2012, Adam 'MCA' Yauch passed away due to cancer. They are very influential and, in my opinion, they greatest rap group in history. They have also discovered LL Cool J, invented sampling, and put Def Jam on the map.

"I wanna say a little something that's long overdue/The disrespect to women has got to be through/To all the mothers and the sisters and the wives and friends/I wanna offer my love and respect to the end"

If you haven't listened to Beastie Boys yet, I strongly recommend you do so.

beastie boys

Beastie Boys is a drinking game where everybody stands in a circle, and somebody lays down a beat. The first person offers the first line of a rap, the second person continues, needing to rhyme with the last word of the first line. Here's the kicker: in Beastie Boys' style, everybody in the group has to guess what the last word of the line is going to be and also yell it out at the same time.

If you fuck up your rap, you drink. If less than half of the group guesses the word correctly, everybody drinks.

The goal is to get all the way around the circle. You start over with a new rhyme when somebody screws up.

This is an example of Beastie Boys:
"Here goes, we gonna try and RAP."
"That bitch was dancin' on my (everybody yells this) LAP"
