Aurus is a fantasy name created in the Czech Republic. Originally it was name of a very old warlock, master of dark arts and skillful necromancer. It's origin we may find in a latin word for gold - Aurum.
The legend says that once, for a moment, a mighty archmage was possessed by powerful dark spirits. However, he was too smart for letting them control his body so once they felt asleep, he overpowered them and absorbed their powers. Enhanced by such a great power he went to his home city and destroyed it entirely since their citiziens had disrespected him in every way. After he had done it just with a flick of his finger, he raised their dead bodies taking full control over them. Now he was unstoppable. Killing, destroying and plundering became his daily rutine... but not for long. He hadn't realised that those powers, he was in control of, were so dangerous that even devil itself was affraid of them. Unseeing his limitations he let his powers to grow bigger and bigger, until one day they mowed down his whole undead army like a wheat in a field, turning him into a mindless creature lost in time.
