(A-flay-zee) A sudden whirlwind of popularity or intrigue based on little substance or rumor, quickly dying out or suddenly becoming extinguished. Usually pertaining only to internet influenced media.
That guy was really popular on Facebook last month but that died down after people met him in person; it was just an afflaise.
