These individuals are generally very dismissive of other musicians and their instruments, and seem just a little too eager to make jokes about them (especially viola jokes), in a manner that leaves everyone else wondering whether they are actually joking or not.
Violin Nazism is frequently, but not necessarily, accompanied by an overinflated ego.
