Sociology of Reason and Rationality Literacy

The ability to analyze how social structures, institutions, and power relations shape what counts as reasonable. It draws on the sociology of knowledge and science to show that standards of rationality vary across social contexts, are enforced by professional communities, and can serve to exclude certain groups.
