Despite being infamous for his chin he actually was a quite capable ruler. During his reign he fought a lot with France, the Ottomans and the protestants and was overall successful in fighting them and his reign saw large expansion of Spain and Austria. His greatest decision was splitting his realm between his son and brother. By the end of his reign Spain was prospering and the HRE was in a predicament but he couldn't control that and overall he was one of the greatest rulers of both Spain and the Holy Roman Empire.
