An abbreviation for 'laugh out loud'. Mainly used when tweeting, texting, or any means of social media. When someone tells a joke or writes something funny on social media or texting, this can be a substitution for 'haha'.
Matt: "Hey Jay! What have you been up to today?"
Jay: "Man, I've been watching these baby dancing videos on FB. They are pretty funny."
Matt: "Yep, I've seen a few of those. lol!"
