A straight, usually white, male whose sexuality is a celebration of the mediocre.
A hipstersexual finds corpulence and imperfection appealing in women. Conversely, nice skin and regular facial features are thought to make a woman look "fake" or like a "robot". Thinness makes her look "like a man". Being striking makes her look either "like a robot" OR "like a man".
Hipstersexuality is in essence a gender pathology:
- because the men themselves are striking, immaculate, and usually thin, they view these things as masculine traits. and as quintessential heterosexuals, they cannot find the same traits to be appealing in women.
- thus, they consider coarse and indelicate to be both desirable and feminine, if only because it is different from themselves.
- aside from and in addition to this, being understated and unassuming are hallmarks of classical femininity.
More exaggerated and perverse expressions of hipstersexuality ("radical hipstersexuality") include being oblivious to those female attributes which are graceful and becoming, while showing a peculiar sexual admiration for the aspects of femininity which are distasteful or unappealing. People who exhibit this degree of hipstersexuality do not notice, much less appreciate, graceful or becoming. Instead they appreciate women in a way that, taken to an extremity, can be understood as a fetish for the monstrous feminine.
