Monkey Ear

When somebody with longer hair (extending an inch or more past the ears) has a good bunch of flat laying hair posed directly in front of the ears, while still keeping the ears visible, near fully peaking out through the hairs color.
This resembles the side of a chimpanzees face, not a monkey, but colloquially.. who the hell cares.

This effect is particularly noticeable on lighter skinned people with darker hair colors, as their ear and hair more objectively match the look of a chimpanzees side profile.

Although if somebody is not in that category, the effect is still easy to spot!

1 To purposefully listen in on a conversation; Even though it was not intended for them; Being nosy.
2 Another term for eavesdropping

A. Guy 1 and 2 are talking upstairs, Guy 3 is downstairs listening to them talk at the bottom of the stairs to listen in on what they are planning on Friday, he is Ear Hustling.
B. Guy A : "Hey Guy B.., My Mom was Ear Hustling while I was on the xbox last night.."

Guy B : "How much did she hear??"

Guy A : "Pretty much everything.."

dog-ear

To fold the corner of a page, usually a book. The purpose is usually for bookmarking. Dog-earring is one of the worst things you can do when reading because you ruin the paper as a result and anyone else who reads the book will either be confused by your bookmarks or think that the book is in lower condition.

Teacher: I need these books in the same condition as I gave them to you. Please for the love of God DO NOT dog-ear your books! If you need to bookmark, use an actual bookmark.
