Grief/tragedy/sympathy industry

The industry that wants control of all sides of the story, therefore the media claims to tell all sides of the story and be on everyone's side.
What the media and grief/tragedy/sympathy industry won't tell people is how on their own they really are, and how the industry doesn't give a fuck about them, it's a machine that depends on them to keep running.

Grief Numb

When the shock of loosing someone close to you is so intense that you feel sad but you can’t find the emotions to feel the grieving process and you just go about your day as normal with a cloud of sadness following but rarely touching.
Friend one to friend two “hey I am really sorry to have to be the one to tell you but your best friend passed away this morning from a massive heart attack” friend two “oh that’s really sad, hey do you wanna go catch the football game later and then go on a massive bender? It will be a laugh” friend one “I think you are grief numb… it will hit you later when you’ve had time to process”

Grief/tragedy/sympathy guilt trip

News stories that get more and more desperate until people submit into doing anything the media/government/healthcare industry/scientists want them to do.
Last week's grief/tragedy/sympathy guilt trip was a recycled story from the Trump era about a young guy that still thought the coronavirus was a hoax until he ended up in ICU. When that didn't increase vaccination rates, the grief/tragedy/sympathy industry got more desperate and had a guy talking emotionally about how you can save his one year old in Arkansas even if you live halfway across the country by getting in line for a vaccine. Just do what these people say and everyone will be okay, just meet their demands is what the grief/tragedy/sympathy industry is trying to prime people's subconcious with.

Grief tragedy sympathy industry

Of the things the grief tragedy sympathy industry shows you on primetime TV, the coronavirus statistics seem dull this time of year because they are all year, but it takes something like extreme weather to wake people up.
The extreme weather is a refreshing thing to see after watching the same dull coronavirus numbers and statistics bullshit that is aired by the grief tragedy sympathy industry all year since 2020.

Grief Riding

When people use tragic circumstances or events to promote themselves or services
Terrible fire yesterday in town, prayers for those lost RIP

We however do have a fantastic sale on fire blankets and lawnmowers so come on down...

Grief Gating

The act of selectively mourning the death of someone based on their political or ideological alignment, while ignoring or rationalizing the deaths of those outside one’s tribe. A form of emotional compartmentalization that reveals unconscious bias in expressions of empathy.
When the invited speaker was killed, the campus held vigils and posted tributes. But when a student protester died last year, barely anyone mentioned it. That’s grief gating—mourning filtered through ideological lenses.

Grief

That isn't what's happening here. You are trying to play games with my life and I'm not playing a game here. You tried to drown me out with static. People have died because of that choice. And you're participating in the cover up. The only saving grace is that names are getting crossed off the list and the sooner you accept that you getting shit in the neck is better than you getting away with the cover up, the faster this ends.
Hym "That isn't what's happening. Unlike your dead kids, I am not relegated to the past. Grief isn't going to make any of that better. You could have stopped someone of those people from dying and you didn't. And all of your rhetoric about the stages of grief aren't going to change that. Seriously, if me being right, and them being wrong and your kids getting murdered because of it isn't losing to these people than nothing is. They are so committed to doing this rhetorical pantomime at any cost, upto and including your kids, they will allow your kids to die when they could have done otherwise. I will make them regret playing chicken with my life. And I said BEFORE the deadline so no it does not matter."
