Diaspo-Rap is a form of French-Creole Hip hop music developed and performed by young Haitians living in the diaspora or abroad.
The genre combines Haitian Kompa and Beat with French-Creole and sometimes English or spanish lyrics.
Many Diaspo-Rap artists rap about issues affecting their lives such as rough childhoods and difficult living conditions, socio-economy, relationships, immigrations, and poverty.
Typical instruments are: Drum machine,
Turntable, Microphone, Synthesizer, Backing track, DAW, Rapping, Sampler, live Drums, Guitar, Bass guitar, Piano/Keyboard, and Vocals.
