Gen Z was too young or not born yet during 9/11, and (mostly) were in high school/middle school/college during quarantine. Some were in the work force and some not yet in middle school.

However, many elitists who do not want to be associated with kids try to change it to 2000-2009, despite the societal reality of those kids being teenagers very soon after them and being seen as zoomers by the general public.
