An overused term that represents being acquaintances with somebody up through being a person’s actual best friend. It has blurred the lines between the strength of relationships and you never really know where you stand with somebody if they use this regularly.

Friend: This is my new bestie Kevin. We just added each other on Snap yesterday.

You: Haven’t we known each other for years? I thought we were actual besties.

Friend: Yea but you know what I mean.
