Depression doesn't necessarily equal sadness, rather it's emptiness. Hope just runs away from you when you're depressed. Some people will fake depression for attention, not understanding its true depths. Depression feels like screaming for help, but no one hears you. Or, it can feel like the world is one big pool party, and you're drowning knowing everyone around you is in blissful oblivion of your pain.
Depressed people are not bad. They are strong. Every day they wake up, feeling like the world is against them, but they still get up and live.

This can make things you used to enjoy not enjoyable. While it can be treated through medicine and therapy it is still there. It is not your fault, or their fault and no one is to blame for it. Sometimes this can lead to a lack of energy, motivation, and an overall negative outlook on everything. There are many different variations of depressive disorders like MDD or Clinical Depression. Occasionally depressive episodes can occur.
