Trap: A sub-genre of hip hop that originated in the southern states of America around the late 90’s and early 2000’s with the most notable characteristic of having lyrical content that depicts the sale and use of drugs. Trap music has had a major sound change in the years 2013-2016 by incorporating spacey/psychedelic melodies, distorted 808 basses, high tempo repetitive high hat patterns and the lyrical content focusing more on drug use rather than drug sales.

When a guy likes a girl and gets shut down, then goes on to liking her friend and goes on to another friend after getting shut down again, etc.
Like playing musical chairs but with girls.

Sally, Suzie and Sarah were best friends. Jack liked Sally until he realized he had no chance with her. Then Jack went for Suzie. After Suzie shut Jack down he tried to go for Sarah. Jack was playing musical bitties.

When you ascend the musical scale playing every correct tone only to fuck up the last note. This removes all pleasure from the situation and completely drains the room. The note is never resolved thus satisfaction is never gained.
Last night my homies and I were playing “Stack Tower Up 3D Builder Simulator Don’t Crash” on the switch and experienced the most heinous musical edging. Every time we’d reach the seventh note of the scale we could never reach the eighth. Serious musical blue balls.

The process of describing an artist to a non-listener by comparing the artist to three or more other artists. Usually done with three artists, two of which are similar to each other and the third of which is significantly different, and in the style of: "They are like (similar band #1) mixed with (similar band #2) with elements of (totally different band)"
Speaker 1: You haven't heard Sage Francis? He's like Swollen Members mixed with Sweatshop Union, with elements of Paul Simon.
Speaker 2: Dude, that's an awesome musical triangulation.

1: Country music listeners, rockers, and hiphop listeners all hate eachother, but they all agree that pop music is the shittiest thing that anyone could listen to.
