"Dave is such a cool guy and a great father. I'm sure he would beat me at any Dad Task known to man."

A task troll is someone with a limited understanding of a discussion yet maintains their authority by sending opponents on spurious and pointless tasks in order to evade engagement in the discussion. An aura of superiority can be achieved with little or no substantial credibility. It may "buy time" or lead to one's opponent being exhausted after doing the heavy work.
The task troll wasn't sure how to respond in our debate so he asked me to read five particular academic papers and report back. I doubt he's read even a single paper among thousands that deal with this matter.

To allot equal time to several different tasks, each exclusively and in sequence. The opposite of multi-tasking, it encourages equal division of remaining time into regular chunks and assignation to each chunk a single task to be focused on exclusively. This is the opposite of the multi-tasking approach that tries to balance focus on all objectives concurrently.
"The human mind is not equipped to multi-task, but it can equi-task as though the software was written for the hardware in direct machine language."
"Equi-tasking is the load-balancing of executive time management."

when you have to deal with people you know won't listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)
Todd: god taking to bill is such a cassandrean task sometimes
Paul: i know right, no matter what you say he refuses to listen

Refers to a "buddy assistance" deal where Person A completes a yucky/difficult/boring job for Person B that he doesn't feel up to suffering through, while Person B tackles a similarly-sucky task that Person A would ordinarily have to perform himself, but also loathes the thought of doing.
I cleaned out Tiffany's garage in exchange for her vacuuming and mopping the muddy floors of my house after a boisterous post-game visit from our town's little-league baseball team... pretty fair disagreeable-task swap, if you ask me.
