The word was famously used by a Chinese leader in 2009 by saying "Bu Zheteng" in Chinese (Don't do zheteng, meaning don't get sidetracked). Online conversation between educated people tends to use "Z-turn" (pronunciation is close to zheteng) to replace zheteng to avoid censorship since the word was once used by a former Chinese leader.

Get the Z-Turn mug.A 4 member Japanese pop group. Originally under the name of Momoiro Clover but changed due to the departure of Akarin Hayami (the blue member of the group). The group Originally consisted of 9 members, Sumire Fujishiro, Manami Ikura, Yukina Kashiwa (later a member of Nogizaka46), Tsukina Takai (later a member of SKE48), Miyū Wagawa, Runa Yumikawa, Akarin Hayami and some of the Momoiro clover members that are still in the group today. Momoka Ariyasu joined after their first single (Momoiro Punch). Momoiro Clover Z's major debut was in 2010 (the group was Momoiro Clover at the time) under Stardust Digital and Universal Music. Momoiro clover's way of promoting the group before they had their major debut was to film a horror movie (Shirome) with all of the members in it. The group had 6 girls in different colours. Kanako Momota (red), Akarin Hayami (blue), Reni Takagi (purple), Ayaka Sasaki (pink), Momoka Ariyasu (green) and Shiori Tamai (yellow).
