Scooping

In a game of cards such as Magic the Gathering or other when a player gives up and grabs (scoops up) all thier cards hastily leaving; this is known as "scooping."

I won rhe match because he had no hope so he scooped.

I'm so close to winning at 30 points, there is no hope for him at only 2 points left, I know this dude is thinking of scooping right now.

Scooped

Scooped; when you or another person gets cheated out of a favorable outcome that should have been a guarantee. You can also scoop others. I.e. request time off when you knew they wanted that day.

Tip: Yo, did you get a chance to snag some free Olive Garden?
Jak: Nah, I didn't get an email and now the foods gone. They Scooped me on that one.
