brain drip

The tendency of your brain to repeat the same word, name or lyric over and over in your head, for no reason. Usually happens in the morning when you're taking a shower or prior to first coffee, but can happen anytime. With music lyrics, often you don't even have the correct words. Sort of like an internal Tourettes Syndrome.

"I've got wicked brain drip with that damn Coldplay line about "are we human.' I hate that song!"

or

I had brain drip with the name "Dumbledorf" for my whole shower.

High caliber thinking, like the time in high school when everyone was trying to figure out whether the assistant gym teacher's breasts were real, and you came up with the idea of drilling that hole in the locker room wall, and it worked, and they weren't real, in fact they were nothing more than a padded bra, which was disappointing and destroyed everyone's adolescent fantasies, but was O.K. because your brilliant scheme actually worked.
