Get the Gorilla tag mug.In the key west community, one would get labeled as having a Key West Dog Tag when a pieces of eight set in a silver or gold charm from the Atocha or other Spanish shipwreck is worn around one’s neck.
The Atocha Story
1. The Shipwreck (1622)
On September 6, 1622, the Spanish treasure ship Nuestra Señora de Atocha, part of King Philip IV’s Tierra Firme Fleet, sank in a powerful hurricane near the Florida Keys. About 260 people died, and massive amounts of silver, gold, and other valuables were lost.
2. The Lost Treasure
The ship was carrying over 1,000 silver bars, along with gold and other precious cargo. Most of the treasure belonged to private individuals. About four tons were royal tax revenue, and 133 silver bars were packed in 34 boxes marked with the red crown of King Philip IV.
3. The Discovery (1985)
After more than 350 years of failed search attempts, the wreck was finally located on July 20, 1985, by Mel Fisher of Treasure Salvors, Inc., who discovered a large portion of the silver cargo and part of the ship’s lower hull.

Get the Key West Dog Tag mug.A ghost tag is the act of tagging an account or channel in a social media post—most commonly an Instagram Story—in a way that preserves the tag’s functional behavior (ex: notifications, attribution, tappable link, or backend recognition) while making the tag visually imperceptible or intentionally hidden from the viewer.
Ghost tags allow creators or brands to credit, notify, or route engagement to an account without disrupting the visual composition of the content.

We typically avoid visible tags in our Instagram Stories, but we’re happy to ghost tag your account so you still share it to your Instagram Stories.

Get the ghost tag mug.A ghost tag noun, verb is an account or channel mention (tag) in a social media post—most commonly an Instagram Story—that preserves the tag’s functional behavior (ex: notifications, attribution, backend recognition) while rendering the tag visually imperceptible or intentionally hidden from the viewer.
Ghost tags allow creators or brands to credit partners, route engagement, or enable tagged accounts to share or re‑gram content to their own Instagram Stories without disrupting the visual composition of the content.
First coined around 2019 by active industry users, the term emerged at a time when accounts could only share Instagram Story content to their own Story if they were explicitly tagged. The term has since become less widely used as Instagram expanded resharing access and introduced a native Mentions capability that allows accounts to be tagged without any visible, in‑frame text placement.
