A scheme using the internet to shit on a person or business out of malice or spite. Similar to a simple smearing, but involving greater organization and falsehoods to most harm a reputation. particularly popular among Karen and other "let me talk to the manager" types.

She received cold french fries at the restaurant so she and her friends began browning the establishment by posting reviews claiming rat infestation and human trafficking.
