Tranq, which is a drug is comprised of animal traquilizer, which is similar to K2. It is becoming increasingly popular on the west coast and is cheap to manufacture. It can also be mixed with cocaine, fentanyl, and other opioids. The term "Tranq Bend" is similar to the term off a perc, or perc 30. It refers to crazy, sometimes idiotic things done by someone as if they are under the influence of drugs.

Going out of your way/speaking up to do something unnecessarily - usually in defence or to protect someone. And it is usually associated with naivety or idiocy, even.
Stop bending backwards to defend the prime minister. True, he's not necessarily bad in this case, but it's not like he's some hero, all of a sudden.
