Klinsmann Dive

An act that Jurgen Klinsmann took up during his time at Tottenham. It was widely spread that Klinsmann went down too quickly under tackles and dived a lot. After learning of this he used his goal celebrations in the same manner, by sliding across the floor on his stomach. Inventing the Klinsmann Celebration/Dive.

dolphin dive

A term used to describe a maneuver in first-person shooters (specifically Call of Duty 4 and Battlefield 2) where a player jumps out of concealment or when under fire, then immediately, once on the ground, goes prone and returns fire. In the case of ambushing another player, the dolphin dive takes advantage of the speed of a running jump to surprise a player and throw off his aim and the concealment of the prone position that follows to prevent taking fire once the enemy becomes oriented. In this case, a single combatant is sometimes able to take on multiple enemies at once.

Their top player had mastered the dolphin dive and was deadly when ambushing enemies.

Atrium swan dive

In law school (or most grad schools), the term for what you feel like doing during finals, diving off the atrium. Almost all law schools have multistory atriums centered in the middle of a high stress environment.

Many law schools have diving programs after finals as a stress reliever. Unfortunately, most atriums lack an adequate diving pool.

Man if I end up studying this same stuff for 16 hours straight I'm gonna do the atrium swan dive.
