Romantic Music (Era)

Music in the romantic period which started around the late 18th century and early 19th century. This era has one of the most famous composers in music, with Frédéric Chopin, Frank Liszt, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninov, etc (There are more composers than you think). This period was the start of modern culture and art. This era has one of the most best pieces in classical music, like Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsodies, Chopin’s Nocturnes, and Rachmaninov’s Prelude in C# Minor.

Romantic music (Era) had very famous pieces and composers in the 19th century.

Rofanticise

the romanticised, nostalgic and fanticised way people look at past civilisations (living or dead), without taking into account the hardships, shortcomings, small mindedness, and general crappiness those ways of living or societies generally contained. see; 1940's/50's America, Hunter gatherer tribes, Ancient Rome, Ancient Norse, Medieval Europe, Victorian England, ect.

people commonly rofanticise 1940's and 1950's American society forgetting segregation, sexism and war.

"Pirates of the Caribbean" is a film that has rofanticised the golden age of piracy.

Steam Punk is a great example of how rofanticising can influence culture.

happy. usually likes black and red. wears lace, velvet, and interesting makeup. usually in love, hence the name "romantic". likes to dress up, wear hair in different ways, and has obsession with red roses, or even black roses.

what a romantic goth is not: emo, sad, whiney, wrist-slitting, obssessed with reputation/friends/myspace

a romantic goth girl:
usually wearing black with minimal red, carrying red/black roses from her boyfriend. is "dressed up", looks somewhat professional, and has a smile on

a romantic goth guy:
like the girl, usually wears minimal red with lots of black. carries black/red roses and other various tokens of love for his girlfriend. may have normal hair, but not always. usually smiling, but only if he's with his lover
