A Russian military officer and a colonel were killed when their helicopter crashed in eastern Ukraine, with military aircraft monitoring the incident reporting an air strike on the crash site. The Ukrainian military says it is investigating two separate incidents in which its helicopters were shot down. The first incident, which killed the two officers and their helicopter was hit a "military building of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic".
