A belief that not being the prettiest girl by social comparison usually by definition of an ideal beauty standard, could lead to physical danger may be an example of "catastrophizing," where an individual unconsciously predicts that the worst possible outcome is likely to occur.
I struggle with The Pretty Girl Complex, so I haven't been going to parties because I can't emotionally regulate or have fun when I see other women getting more attention than me.

Get the clay girlmug. "the girl next door" is a girl that's most of the time, quiet, to herself, loves helping others even if it's to the extent of her own health. Aside of have no self preservation she has a LOVE for drawing, reading and LOVES to laugh at the wrong times.
