Pushing Sunflowers

Idiom used to imply someone who is Dead and whose body is fertilizing plants (sunflowers). Hence you are "pushing" sunflowers up from the ground.

Popularly, the idiom was Pushing Daisies. This variation was inspired by a brave Ukrainian woman who encouraged Russian soldiers to fertilize sunflowers, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Pushing Daisies was the idiom. Now it shall forever be Pushing Sunflowers.

Pushing P

This means "pushing paper" as in spending a lot of money (cash paper bills).

Specifically, it refers to spending money after you've earned a lot of it. You're both stacking chips and then pushing p.

A Real Housewife who just spends her husband's money all day isn't really "pushing p," even if she is spending a lot of money.
