Testing spray patterns

The act of fooling around and not doing your job. More specifically, the act of writing, or spraying, the numbers 40 on a wall in an undeniable reference to a 40 rock of cocaine. It's mostly used as an excuse for not doing your work.
Person 1 "Are you slacking off again?"
Person 2 "Nah man, I'm testing spray patterns!"

OR

Person 1 "Why are you writing 40 everywhere?"
Person 2 "I was just testing spray patterns."

Paternal racism

A form of racism exhibited by those who think that because a minority has suffered in the past, they are immediately less capable of logic, rationality, character, and success. Someone who is paternally racist thinks that due to these perceived shortcomings, minority members need constant hand-holding and affirmation in order to make it. Paternal racists will often believe they know what's best for minorities and feel very comfortable speaking for entire minority groups. This stems from their inability to acknowledge that minority individuals are just as capable and competent as them. Paternal racism is frequently witnessed in individuals who are over-eager to prove to others how non-racist they are. Paternal racism is superficially well-intentioned, but in reality thrives on categorizing minorities as lesser beings. It perpetuates the damaging stereotype that minorities are less capable and need help for everything.
To black person: "I think it's ridiculous our professor expects you to get A's on the test. Doesn't he know how hard you guys have it?"

Black person: "Smh, paternal racism."

Scott Patterson

Played "Luke" on the hit WB show "Gilmore Girls". He was the grumpy diner owner in the town of Stars Hallow. Also, Lorelai's (Lauren Graham's) love interest/soulmate. Scott is currently starring on the CW comedy, "Aliens in America" and has guest-starred on many series, including "Seinfeld, where he was deemed "sponge-worthy" by Elaine. Recently, Scott was seen on the big screen in Saw 4, and is currently shooting Saw 5.
Scott Patterson/Luke quote from "Gilmore Girls":

Lorelai: How does Charlie Rose screw up your REM sleep?

Luke: Because he's always got some guy on pushing a book about how everything's all going to hell, or they're going to pass a law, how everyone with a nose ring is going to get shipped off to China. Suddenly you're depressed, thinking we're all going to die and don't drink the water, there's anthrax in my bagel - and bam, there goes your REM sleep.

Lorelai: Or Mel Brooks is on, and he is so funny, and you think, "What a wonderful world we live in, that there's a Mel Brooks to go to sleep to."

Luke: Mel Brooks is never on Charlie Rose, and when he is on he's talking about Nazis, and then you go to sleep and you dream about Nazis and they all look like Nathan Lane, and you're creeped out for days.

Harry just got a book published, but it was Patterson Published, so he really won't be getting all the attention for it
