When the media latches onto something that they can make a big deal out of such as the swine flue even though way more people die of the regular flue every year than the swine flue. Other examples include the SARS disease and anything that is made up to be much more important or serious than it really is.
Dude 1-"God dude there is a total media boner going on about the swine flue right now."
Dude 2-"Ya no kidding as long as you don't live in a box and can go to the doctor your going to be fine."

Media Tarts are known to sit behind a computer well into the early hours researching a variety of news and topics to write on their media tart blog or magazine, or on social media.
A media tart is a seasoned, knowledgeable journalist, usually female who writes across all genres of media.

it's 4am - Where's the Media Tart? She's probably writing her media tart blog and fallen asleep on the computer.
Whenever you have a question about international affairs, the best person to go to for an objective viewpoint is a Media Tart, she would have done plenty of research for her articles.

a female journalist who works across all spectrums of medias rather than just one genre. Media Tarts tend to be international and are able to write about a large array of topics whether for news magazines, professional journals, blogs, social media, tv or corporate literature.
When you're looking for a journalist to host a debate on a variety of topics, it's best to look for a Media Tart.
If you want to get news out to all media outlets, go and find a media tart, she'll ooint you in the right direction and even write your script.

A horde of photographers and/or journalists that gather to snap that first shot, or ask that first question , at a scene of media excitement, usually involving a famous person mired in controversy, or even just joe public thrown into the spotlight for a similar outrage or scandal.
'The parents were greeted by a media scrum, as they arrived at the police station for questioning over the disappearance of their daughter.'

A class that is taken by most students in the art college at Drexel University. It is a class that is mostly useless and gives out a lot of pointless and boring work to explain a fairly simple concept. The professors are forced to hand out this mindless work done by hand so that there is some fine art done before finishing it digitally. Sometimes projects have a fine art part that makes no sense as to why it exists because it could be easily done digitally. Most students dislike this series of classes because of the tedious and mind-numbing work that is usually unnecessary.
