Hair Pop

A genre of modern pop that takes heavy inspiration from the 80's new wave and synth pop but with modern twists. Easily identifiable by the similar drums and guitar patterns of the 80's with the added modern electronic sounds. The name of the genre may remind you of hair metal of the 70's but since it's from the 80's it name actually comes from the 80's musical Hairspray, thus Hair Pop

Person 1: Blanks's music would be hair pop then huh?
Person 2: Oh Yeah! Goddamn I love Blanks's music!
