Martin Waldseemüller was a german cartographer and humanist born sometime in the 1470s.he and his collaborators were known for creating beautiful world map projects such as the “Universalis Cosmographia”and other works.sometime after all this,he died around the year 1520.unfortunately,most details of martin’s entire life remain shrouded in mystery.

Martin Waldseemüller’s 1507 world map is currently on display in the library of congress in Washington D.C.it is the only authentic copy that exists in the entire world.the majority of his other work were lost to time
