South Charlotte

Where the wealthy people of Charlotte choose to live. South Charlotte is THE area to live in Charlotte. The richest neighborhoods are the Seven Eagles neighborhood, which backs up to Quail Hollow Country Club, South Park, and of course, Myers Park. Designer shopping is plentiful, just go to South Park Mall and you have it all from Louis Vuitton to Gucci to Tiffany & Co. Many of the kids in the area go to either Charlotte Latin, Providence Day, or Country Day which all have tuitions that cost more than most colleges. European cars are everywhere, while stopped at a light you will more than likely see at least 10 Mercedes, BMWs, etc. around you. Lots of people here have some type of plastic surgery, botox being the most common. Even though Charlotte is a Southern city it doesn't feel Southern at all because most of the people that live here are from other places all over the country. Charlotte is becoming a very trendy city, but if you live then South Charlotte is the place to be.

Newly Arrived Los Angeles resident- I love it here! It's pretty much exactly like the west side. Mansions, mercedes, and designer shopping. what more could a person want??

Aberdeen, South Dakota

A place in the northeastern corner of South Dakota. It's the third largest city in the state. They recently added a BigK, Super Wal*Mart, and Central High School. The whole place has lots of great things to do such as take a walk to McDonald's, go to Storybook Land, or skinnydip in grungy Wylie Lake in all its splendor. Take in beautiful Aberdeen with an open mind and you will like what you see.

A state that isn't half as bad as people make it sound. Sure, they have their rednecks, but that only fills a eleventh of the state's popularity. Sioux Falls is probably the most civilized part of SF.

South Dakota is not a hick state.

It is the home of the Eagles, and many drunk college students
Watch out on game days...it can get a little out of hand-kind of like all the other days of the week
Sunday is the 1 day to relax
Oh yeah, there is school there too

In short, The South is a distinct region of the United States which consists of the same states that seceeded from the union in the pre-civil war era. If you don't know them by now, then you'll never know them. The South is growing at a more than moderate rate and is a lot more diversified than it used to be. The South is the epitomy of amiability but also maintains a great sense of pride. If someone outside of The South "disses" it, a severe ass-whippin can occur.

some idiot: You talk country.
me: What? You don't like my Southern drawl?
idiot: No. You sounded like a dumbass hick during the presentation.
me: I'm from The South, bitch. Plus, I'll be getting my Doctorate while you'll still be hunting for your Master's.
idiot: I don't care.
