A student, alum, or faculty member of Princeton University. A Princetonian is not to be confused with those people living in and around Princeton Borough and Princeton Township not affiliated with the University; these persons are often referred to as "townies". These townies calling themselves Princetonians is analogous to residents of New Haven calling themselves Yalies: just plain wrong.

The movie, from 1987, is incredibly corny. Most people associate this story with that movie.
However, the book is very different. IT IS ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC ADVENTURE BOOKS THAT EXISTS!
William Goldman wrote The Princess Bride as an abridged version of S. Morgenstern's book, which is said to be a satire about European Royalty. However, S. Morgenstern's book never existed-- Goldman wrote the book entirely himself.
