The house of composure is a fictional establishment where nothing resembling madness can occur. Legend has it, the house of composure may have once been located at the corner of Tremont and Tremont in Boston, MA or at the corner of Columbus and Columbus just a few blocks away. Many young people aspire to one day attain one of the 100 bedrooms inside the house of composure but have yet to find it.

To fail miserably at something. A reference to Philadelphia Phillies beat writer Mandy Housenick of The Morning Call, who wrote an article in the summer of 2010 about how outfielder Jayson Werth should have been traded because he's mean to the media.

Baseball fan: "Wow, T.J. Simers really Housenicked that Marcus Thames column. He was being a real jerk, and he shouldn't of taken it so personally."

House Clothes

Comfortable worn out clothing that you would never wear in public but love wearing at home. Typically fashioned with a hole here and there and older than most of your furniture. House Clothes may include (but not limited to) stretchy shorts, cotton booty shorts, old basket ball shorts, that one shirt you bought at a swap meet, your boyfriends band tees, sweat pants (preferabley black to hide the stains), oversized sweat shirts, nudity, etc.

I can't believe I went to school wearing my embaressing House Clothes.
