One who rides donkeys. Or Knight or the order. It is a tall tale about how a man won his freedom and land by betting he could travel by donkey for half the kingdom and back in one sunrise to sunset. The king takes ttis bet (don't ask why I said it was a tall tale) and the slave wins having gone half the distance and back by sunset and the king gives him knighthood the donkey and all the land he travelled.

He was a Riedesel in the time of poppers.
