Kawaii Trap

A subgenre of Rap that revolves around Japanese culture / Otaku culture. The instrumentals usually consist of bells, flutes or synths and have bouncy drums and lyrics that reference anime and or Japan originated games, comics, etc. NOT to be confused with Bubblegum trap and Nerdcore, because both subgenres do not revolve around Anime and Japan.

Person A: I don't really like mainstream rap. I listen to Kawaii Trap.
Person B: Nice! I'll have to look into that.

Totes Kawaii

A phrase said in short for Totally Cute ~ (Kawaii is Japanese for "cute" - pronounced ka-wa-ee).

Originated in Sydney, Australia by a group called the Totes Kawaii group - a group of anonymous people who befriended each other at a maid cafe interview.
